Was dich erwartet
Join the next edition of the WEdnesday SALON series (this time exceptionally on a Monday) at the Complexity Science Hub (CSH) – with Gerd Gigerenzer! From dating apps to self-driving cars, AI promises to make life easier and decisions better. But what can algorithms really do – and when should we trust our own judgment? Gerd Gigerenzer looks at the AI hype, human intelligence, and why simple rules can sometimes outperform complex systems. More info and registration : https://csh.ac.at/events/wednesday-salon-with-gerd-gigerenzer/ 18:00 – Talk by Gerd Gigerenzer (Max Planck Institute) 18:50 – Open discussion – „Salongespräch“ 19:20 – Drinks & get together 20:00 – End About Gerd Gigerenzer: Gerd Gigerenzer is a long-time director at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development, heads the Harding Center for Risk Literacy at the University of Potsdam, and served as Vice President of the European Research Council (ERC). What is the WEdnesday SALON? A public event at the Complexity Science Hub where leading scientists explore big questions in language everyone can understand. No background knowledge needed. Inspired by Vienna’s turn-of-the-century salons, the WEdnesday SALON brings science into an open conversation – inviting everyone to listen, ask questions, and join the discussion. It’s a SALON for the WE.
